Meditation and Training

I offer a space for meditation at the therapy hub. I personally follow Vipassana meditation techniques. The space is for people to meet and meditate together. This is important as it helps us sustain a focused practice without the distractions we may encounter elsewhere.

There is no charge, but a donation towards the hire of the space is welcome.

I do not consider myself a great teacher, though I have a good deal of experience. There is always time to share our experience if we want to. We support each other to practice and accept people at any stage of mindful development.

If you’d like to talk about your meditation practice, whether you’re just beginning, wanting to explore more deeply, or simply feel another perspective might be helpful, I offer monthly one-to-one mindfulness guidance sessions.

We can explore whatever arises in practice: thoughts and patterns, obstacles, questions around self, or the felt experience of no-self.

These sessions are offered without a fee. If you find them unhelpful, simply take what is useful and leave the rest.

If the sessions are helpful to you, you’re welcome to offer a gift in the spirit of dāna (The Buddhist practice of generosity), but only if you can comfortably afford to. Gifts may be financial or in the form of fresh food. Financial gifts help cover room hire and practical costs such as cushions and equipment; food is used to prepare meals for others. Any food offered is cooked as prasad and distributed as necessary.
